November 2016 Bullet Journal Set Up

For the month of November, I’ve taken a more simplistic approach to my layouts. I’ve also taken inspiration from my husband and how he sets up his Bullet Journal. Specifically, how he sets up his monthly spread. He incorporates his monthly habit tracker in with his monthly spread. I honestly think it’s a genius idea, and can’t believe I haven’t thought of it before!

I’ve changed up what I carry around with me, in order to lighten and slim down my bag. My mobile Bujo supplies have been narrowed down to:

1. Leuchtturm1917 A5 Dot Grid – Yellow

2. Pigma Graphic 1 Pen – 1

3. Faber-Castell Pitt Artist Pen S – Black

4. Faber-Castell Broadpen – Grey

5. 6″ Clear Ruler

That’s right kiddos….just 5 things. This will be a bit of an adjustment from the 25+ coloured pens I’m used to carrying around with me. 😛 Slimming down on my supplies wasn’t the only thing I did to help simplify things this month, I’ve also narrowed down how many spreads I’ve drawn out. Normally, I would have a monthly layout, monthly habit tracker, health & fitness tracker, no spend tracker and a gratitude log. This month, I only have 3 spreads done up:

Monthly/Habit Tracker – here I took inspiration from my husband, and incorporated my habit tracker in with my monthly spread.

No Spend Tracker – I did keep this tracker, as sticking to a budget and paying off debt are a very high priority for us right now. This is a great visual tracker that helps keep me accountable.

Time Blocking – this is something new, and would ideally be done on a weekly basis when my husband and I sit down to do our weekly partnership meetings. This helps us plan our week ahead, and be proactive in where we spend our time.

That’s it, that’s all I’ve done for this month. As I said, I’m really trying to simplify things in my life by streamlining things, and getting rid of extra ‘stuff’ I don’t need. Which, by the way, is very hard for someone who has an addiction to pens, markers, notebooks, etc. I’ll be posting an October Flip Through video soon, so stay tuned for that.
