Whoa guys! Can you believe 2018 is already here? I’ll be honest, 2017 was a bit of a rough year, and I’m glad it went by as quick as it did. That being said, I’m also grateful for all the things I’ve learned this past year, and the personal growth I’ve seen in myself. Both the Blog and the YouTube channel have been pretty quiet the last few months, as I’ve been taking the much needed time to work on myself.

Now, with the new year upon us, I am ready to take on new goals, and experience new adventures! This year I thought I would try something a little different. Last year I used only the Leuchtturm1917 for my bullet journaling needs. This year, however, I am trying a Nuuna notebook. I’ve heard so many great things about them, and so far, I’d have to agree. The pages are thicker and smoother, the quality certainly feels higher. I’ve also opted for a smaller A6 size this year. I’ve never had a bullet journal so small, and while I’m enjoying the size now, I may very quickly change my mind as I start using it heavily. It was on for such a good deal on Amazon though, I thought I had better snag it to give it a try.

Alright, are you ready to see the new 2018 set up?? Here we go!

Some people choose to do a word of the year. For me, I decided I wanted to write the year, and then various words around it that I wanted to focus on in 2018. A simple concept, but something I hope will keep me focused in the new year.

2018 Bullet Journal Cover Page

The next three pages consist of a small calendar for the month at the top, and then any important dates written below. For 2018 I am planning by quarter, so each section will go 3 months at a time. As such, we have January-March planned out here.

2018 Bullet Journal Forward Planning

I’ve always love the Level 10 Spreads. It’s so cool to see all the different spreads that people do for this. To create this layout, I used stencil I purchased from Jayden’s Apple on Etsy. I freaking love this thing. You can get one here.

2018 Bullet Journal Level 10 Life

I love doing these trackers. I’ve always had some variation of this layout in each of my bullet journals. Part of my focus in 2018 is to keep things clean and simple, so I drew out a nice, neat, clean layout to keep track of my savings and debts. The goal is to have all my debts paid off before the end of 2018, and to have $10,000 in savings. It’s a lofty goal, but I’m hopeful that I can reach it.

2018 Bullet Journal Savings Tracker and Debt Tracker

To help me stay on track with paying off debt and building savings, I am utilizing various systems. I’ll touch on them more throughout the year, but one thing I’ve implemented are these monthly and quarterly financial check in pages. At the end of each month I can check in to see how much debt I’ve paid off, and how much is remaining. It also allows me to see how much I’ve been able to save up to that point. Reviewing monthly gives me a chance to check in and make necessary adjustments as I go. The quarterly check ins are a great time to celebrate any wins, and forward plan for the next quarter to stay on track.

Next up we have my weight loss tracking, which (you guessed it), shows a chart covering about 3 months. Again, I want to try and plan by quarter, so I’m forced to check in every three months and really review and focus on my goals again. This tracker is plain and simple, all it tracks is my weight. Which, hopefully, I will see go down! I do more detailed tracking on a monthly basis, there I look at measurements, daily steps and activity, body fat % and so on. You’ll see those spreads in the upcoming months 🙂

2018 Bullet Journal Weight Loss Tracker and Affirmations

I’ve always loved these pages. Each bullet journal I have has a special spot for affirmations. I add to them as I think of new ones, and make an effort to review it every morning. Picking a few to read aloud to myself. This helps me to start my day with a positive vibe, and it makes a big difference in how my day pans out.

2018 GOALS

Pretty straight forward, this page is just a place for me to write down all my goals for 2018. From there I can start creating a plan and action items to make these things happen. Once I’ve completed a goal, I’ll get to cross it off the list. So satisfying!

2018 Bullet Journal Goals and To Buy List

This is a new spread for me, and I don’t know why I didn’t think to do it before. So often my husband and I will say to each other “We really need to get a….(shelf, new pot, lamp, etc)” and then we forget about it. So, this year I’ve decided to dedicate a page where I can write down all the things we need to buy at some point. This way they aren’t forgotten about.

That’s it! That’s the end of the set up for this bullet journal. From here we go into the monthly planning for January. I won’t go into detail here, but feel free to check out the YouTube video to see more!

  1. I love your layouts for the new year! My favorite of yours is the savings tracker. I attempted to do one myself in 2017 but quickly lost track as my finances fluctuated. I’ll definitely refer to your spread when it’s time for me to create one. Thanks for sharing! Happy New Year!
